Aggression Focused Lessons

Our Aggression-Focused Lesson Program includes eight weekly, one-hour private lessons: four Basic Obedience lessons and four aggression-focused lessons. Training covers Come, Sit, Down, Place, Heel, Break, and Off, alongside guidance for managing behavioral concerns.

3-Week Behavioral Modification Board & Train

The Three-Week Behavioral Modification Board & Train is designed for dogs with reactivity, aggression, or intense anxiety. Discuss your dog’s behavior history and training goals with the team to determine whether the program may be appropriate. It includes:

A 21-day stay with a behavioral modification trainer
Obedience training and work on the dog’s specific behavioral concerns
Daily progress updates with photos and videos
A two- to three-hour one-on-one owner session at pickup
Lifetime refresher support for commands taught during training

Progress varies, and complete resolution of aggression or reactivity is not guaranteed. Continued owner practice and appropriate management remain essential.

Eligibility and Equipment

Aggression-Focused Lessons are listed for dogs aged five months or older and include a Mini Educator e-collar. Rabies vaccination is required, and muzzle acclimation and use may be necessary. Confirm the separate requirements for the three-week behavioral boarding program before enrolling.

Our German Sheperd mix needed some obedience training, not only for his own sake but to teach us how to best help him with his anxious tendencies, and he has excelled over the last few years with his training. We got our training at Boyce Acres in Nassau, and Alex is one of the best out there. Alex worked with Siena and she was amazing! Every single day that Siena was there we received photos and videos of her progress, which was my favorite part. Alex was very knowledgable and was such a great trainer for Siena, we could tell Siena felt so comfortable with her! Alex worked on everything we requested and we see a HUGE difference already. She did great with potty training and basic obedience, but had a very hard time settling down especially as she got older and had more energy. In her newly discovered free time, she found lots of ways to make her parents crazy and a bit sleep deprived (see photos for evidence of her early work).

So when she was about six months old, we reached out to Albany Off-Leash who connected us with the marvelous Crystal. She took Peanut into her home for two weeks and our pup came back a new girl. She still has all of her sass and personality but will happily lay in place while we do chores and her recall is near perfect. Additionally, her ability to walk on a leash is leaps and bounds ahead of when she left. Almost as important, her parents sleep/sanity. has returned!

Crystal sent daily video updates of Peanut’s progress and did an amazing job mixing obedience with socialization and new stimulus. This was so comforting to us as we were nervous about trusting someone new with our girl but Crystal made us feel so secure that Peanut was having the time of her life (basically doggy summer camp)

At the end of the training Crystal provided a very thorough hand-off session to show us how to keep up the lessons Peanut learned and she has continued to thrive at home!
