Eric is a Certified Obedience Trainer with Albany Off Leash K9 Training. He has been sharpening his skills for several years and has worked with hundreds of dogs across a wide range of breeds, personalities, and behavior challenges. He is especially drawn to working breeds and high-drive dogs, and he enjoys helping owners turn big energy into reliable focus.
Eric’s passion for training started with his own Belgian Malinois, Luna. Training a dog with Luna’s drive, intensity, and athleticism showed him the importance of clear communication, consistency, and purposeful structure. That experience continues to shape his coaching style and fuels his commitment to helping other families build the same kind of partnership with their dogs.
Eric uses safe, effective training methods, including responsible e-collar training, and places a strong emphasis on owner education. He does not just teach commands. He teaches families how to handle real-world situations with confidence so results hold up beyond the training sessions. Outside of training, Eric is usually with Luna, getting outdoors, staying active, and continuing to study canine behavior. He looks forward to helping you build a more obedient, reliable companion and a stronger bond that lasts.
